I have only used Movie Maker to cut and edit music and I have never used it for videos. When my old computer died I downloaded the program onto my new computer.  But niw I have been unable to do anything as it won't let me import the music.  I have tried importing cds like I used to and a message always says no photos or videos were found.  When I try to import music that I have already have on the computer the message says Movie Maker doesn't support file type.

I am at a loss and I never had a problem before.  Old computer was Windows Vista and new one is Windows 8.1
