7 days ago I had a message appear on my hotmail account login page that said I needed to have a code to help with security. I ignored the message as it wanted to send an email to an account that no longer exists and I also didn't know whether it was from microsoft or not. Today it would not let me login without a code and so I had to provide an alternative address to have the code sent to which i did (rather unwillingly). Having received the code I entered it and a message appeared saying that the update would take 30 days! I now can't access my hotmail account at all - please can someone help?! Surely it isn't going to be locked for 30 days?
