I was setting up a clients new HP AIO Pavilion PC and came across an issue with setting up a Microsoft account to be used with Windows 8. We created a new Microsoft account using the clients email from her ISP, to verify it we logged into her ISP's webmail
service. We clicked the link, it asked us for our Microsoft password, yet when we entered it we were told that the Microsoft account was invalid and couldnt be verified. Now the email is locked up in Microsofts database and we cannot use it. We tried creating
a new account, but the email is in use. We tried recovering the password but only get told that the account is invalid. I tried ringing the support centre incase they could reset the account or remove it or something, but they were about as useful as flavoured
toilet paper.
Who can I get in contact with to get this resolved? My client does not want to create a new email address for her Microsoft account.
This is a process I have done many many times with many non-Microsoft emails, but its the first time I have encountered this issue.
