Hi - please help anyone that has an answer. Over an hour of fruitless calls to MS and Apple today got me nowhere. I've just bought an iMac all-in-one PC and have three Windows 8 machines here ate home. These run Office 365 to perfection. I installed it on the iMac, all went well. I tried to add my Hotmail email account and it wouldn't configure. I phoned MS and was told that it won't work with my OS (the latest Apple iOS). They got me to set it up as POP3, which (of course) worked. But I can't sync my calendar or contacts or email folders. I told the technician this must be wrong - that I'm paying a subscription for Office 365 to use ActiveSync...
I have even set up a new outlook.com email and tried that and got a little further - but now keep getting popups saying "Outlook was redirected to the server autodiscover-s.outlook.com..." and I tick "Allow" and "Always use my response" but all that happens is the popup keeps returning and no email is downloaded or synced.
I've even tried manually inserting the server name (taken from the setting s on my Windows PC), but to no avail.
As I say - it's a brand new iMac but I'm afraid the salesman, who assured my that Outlook 365 worked, was wrong and I feel like changing it doe a Windows all-in-one instead as I can't use Outlook with just POP3.
If there is any kindly person who can help, I'd be grateful.
