I am running with Windows 7, using Windows Live Mail 2012.
I have not been able to send or receive emails for the lasts 2-3 days. When I send an email, including to myself, it appears to work ok (no error messages), but nothing is ever in the Sent Items or the Inbox.
From the Live Mail icon, I ran Troubleshoot Compatibility. I got some screen that stated Incompatible Application, but gave no information on what was incompatible or how to fix it.
Prior to not begin able to send or receive emails (2-3 days ago), I would sometimes get the following error when I started up Live Mail: WINDOWS LIVE MAIL ERROR ID: 0x80072EFD. If I ended and restarted Live Mail, it usually started up normally. I am not getting this error now.
Around this time, I also had a problem where Live Mail (or something) had the computer locked up where I could not end anything and could not power the desktop down (either with the power down option or the power button on the computer). I had to physically pull the power plug. When the system came back up and I started Live Mail, I got a message stating something like "an unexpected error occurred" (not sure of the exact wording).
Unless someone can tell me what to try, how do I reinstall Live Mail ? Will I have to do some reconfiguring (email address, password, .....) afterwards ?
Since I am not receiving emails, I will check back here to see if anyone responds.
thanks
