I use Windows Live Mail 2012.  Have had it for years, well since 2012 probably.  Every 3 months for one reason or the other I suddenly cannot send or receive emails.  I then call my server company, Xfinity, and they fix the problem.  It's always something to do with the password...I have had so many passwords for these email accounts.  Two days ago, it started again that I couldn't send or receive and the error messages are always about the password.  So I called Xfinity, and was helped resetting the password and nothing happened.  I still couldn't send or receive, so Xfinity said I had to contact Microsoft Live Mail support.  So I did that and after using "chat" for over an hour I finally got a real human.  He worked for another hour then did a system restore which also failed and he and I were disconnected.  I called back, got another person, and then we were disconnected; I called back, got a third person who was just beginning to help when we got disconnected.  So I gave up for the day.  Today is Saturday and I cannot get to any live people at Microsoft Live Mail so I hoping someone in the forums has an idea.

My idea would be to uninstall Windows Live Mail, and then re-install it, but I don't know how that would work.  I have several folders with saved emails that I do not want to lose.  Would I love them with a re-installation?
