I have an Earthlink account.  When I upgraded to Windows 8 I learned I could no longer use it through Outlook and set it up on Livemail.  I only mention it because that in itself is lame.  But anyway, my email through livemail worked for awhile, but now inexplicably I cannot send messages.  I receive them fine, just can't send.

Subject 'Qabalah'

Server: 'smtp.earthlink.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 587

Secure(SSL): No

Socket Error: 10060

I followed the Earthlink setup instructions to a T, and saw others had a similar problem to this but did not see any satisfactory answers provided.  This seems like a Windows problem.  How can I fix it?
