cannot reply, forward, or type in the body of emails

I tried-- unsuccessfully-- the solutions proffered earlier to this problem so I need more help.
As of today--- out of the blue--- I'm unable to type in the body of an email when replying, drafting, or forwarding on my Outlook emails (on updated Chrome browser).
I took the stated advice:  I cleared the cache.  I updated Silverlight.
Nothing works.
What else should I do?

It works fine on Firefox so it seems to be only on my Chrome browser.)
Any assistance, gratefully received.
