Cannot remember hotmail password & secret question but am able to access emails on iphone and ipad!

My partner has forgotten his hotmail/outlook password & doesn't know the answers to any of the secret answers! We are able to access his hotmail through his iPhone & iPad as they're still logged in - but it's such an inconvenience! 

We can provide a copy of his UK driving license & passport if need be... We just need access!! If you could send a password reset email to his own email *** Email address is removed for privacy *** ? 

We know we could create a new account but that account has been used for a number of years for work!

Please help :)
