Hello,

I'm using Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64-bit), 4GB RAM, AMD Quad Core 2.30 GHz and I've been having trouble with my Live Mail 2011 for a few days. Repairing it (a few times even) did not work, so I uninstalled it (along with PhotoGallery and MovieMaker, I don't have any other Essentials programs). I found that version 2012 was available, so I downloaded it and tried to install it but to no avail.

I've tried about 10 times, following instructions I found on this forum, but so far nothing has worked. Steps I've taken:

- uninstalled via CMD prompt (including restarts)

- removed Windows Live folders in Program Files

- removed Windows Live registry entries

- turned off third party firewall (ZoneAlarm), turned off antivirus (Avira free)

- Wndows firewall is on

- tried installing both web and offline versions

- Windows is up to date

I tried installing each program alone first, but it always ends up with the error code 0x80070643, the source being whatever I'm installing (ie. either Mail or PhotoGallery).

I tried installing the 2011 version too, same result.

Any help is very much appreciated!
