I spent weeks working on a project and finally finished it. I then saved it in the usual fashion I had been. The next time I tried to open the project it would open but immediately stopped and showed me an error message saying

"windows live movie maker has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." And then it closes the program. 

I didn't even turn the computer off or use the computer for anything else between using the program.

I have tried turning the computer off and on again, Changing compatibility mode, and opening and closing the program.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is the project lost for good?
