Is the account closed now? I would very much like this solved, as my mail has been hacked and is sending spam mail to my contacts.

I want to close my outlook.com account. I go account settings -> close account, and enter my password. It tells me I have to deactivate my hotmail account. I press the provided link, which either take me to msn.com startpage or to a page saying "something
went wrong".
