Cancel my outlook email account

Can someone tell me how to deactivate this outlook email.  I want my verizon email to be the one I use for this computer.  I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW WINDOWS 8 AND DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT IT IN ANY WAY.
