I have .mov files from my JVC Video Camera that I want to edit in Movie Maker (I have the 2012 version). I wasn't able to see the video even in Media Player so I followed the steps (I believe) on http://lehsys.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/how-to-load-k-lite-codecs-for-windows.html to download codecs.

This then enabled me to see the video in Media Player but I can still only get the audio in Movie Maker.
