can not close hotmail account - for the ten millionth time

1. Visit the close account webpage.

2. Follow the instructions, and then click Close account to close your account.

as others have posted. the procedure does not work.

I have tried to change my security email address because I had to close it. Eversince I put it on my account, I received more than 100 spam emails every day! I gave you a phone number and got a code, now I have to wait a month before I can put in a new address, which I am not prepared to do. There is no contact email address to ask one of you 'Geniuses' to close it. Maybe someone at your homeland security can do it, because I am sure someone there will read it before anyone at microsoft does!
