I am having account issues with my Outlook on my MacBook Pro, Retina, 15-inch display running OS10.9.3.

I began having a problem when I wanted to change something in my accounts, and Outlook gave me a white window where the Account info should have been but it wasn't and the program locked. This happened on multiple occasions. I followed the instructions here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/outlook-2011-wont-allow-me-to-add-any-email/83695f18-02d0-4222-87d2-741314bfbdec

which said I needed to a complete reinstall.

I have followed the instructions here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768/en-us

to completely remove Office 2011 from my Mac, in addition to trying other things.

After reinstalling, the program locks after I click on either Exchange or POP/IMAP when I try to add an Outlook account. I did not import any data from my old database. I have tried not doing updates, installing updates each after complete uninstalling and reinstalling. I have tried adding account through the set-up assistant or simply by choosing it in the Tools menu. It locks both ways.

I am at a loss as to what to try next.
