Bonjour,

I am using for years Windows Live Mail 2012 on my 2 computers and I have recently noticed on both computers (Vaio laptop (Windows 10) & Home-made tower(Windows 7)) the following issue:

Time to time .jpg and .mp4 files received as attachment to a mail, are corrupted.

The JPG one shows pictures with lines of corrupted pixels and the mp4 one are just not readable.

The point is that when I download these exact files directly from my webmail, without using Windows Live Mail, then they are all OK.

The transfer from the webmail to Windows Live Mail seems to be at the origin of this bug.

I feel like Windows Live Mail would have been picking-up the files from the webmail, not as a file but as a picture (or as a movie) through processes like using codecs (bad one!).

Is there  a particular transit of those files through a particular cloud (my OneDrive)?

Does someone know something about this issue and can help?

I didn't kept these mails on my webmail server so I cannot work on them anymore, but next time it happens I will change the JPG or the mp4 to a txt and I guess the files will not be corrupted in Windows Live Mail.

Thanks for help

Alain
