First off, pardon my English...

Okay so, I have used WMM many, many times and never had any problems before. Only now, I have. So here goes a story of me, my client, and our WMM.

My client sent a video over and asked me to do the 'usual stuff' -- titling and captioning. He usually send me a 1920px .mp4 video, only this time he sent a 720px, but I think it's not a problem, isn't it? So I started a new project, loaded the video to WMM, added titles and captions (no trimming, no splitting, etc. just titles and captions). As I think it's finished -- I saved as .wlmp and sent it to my client for him to check and publish the video.

Then he got back to me saying "Hi Jo – this is really weird! This is what I'm seeing when I play the WMM project file (and it looks like that all the way through):"

I opened the project file, and saw what he saw -- blurred and pixelated video preview, all the way through! I tried publishing the video and hoped it only happens in preview mode, well... it doesn't. The quality of published video was just as poor as WMM preview.

Second try... I reset WMM settings to default > restarted WMM > opened project file... it looked okay. So I saved the old file with a new name and sent to my client. But alas, he got back to me again with the same problem! I checked my file on my computer and my WMM and saw just what he saw -- a monsterized client! Oooooo....

Third try... I started a new project and did the entire thing all over again from start to end. This is what I saw while editing the video:

It looked fine, good and healthy -- project file saved > exit WMM. After a few second, I opened the .wlmp again, and this is what I see:

At first, this pixelation occured only at some random points in the video. But if you leave file opened for a few minutes, pixelation spread to other random points. Leave file opened for a while and it affects every single frame like a virus!

Can someone help me solve this problem? What should I do?

Thanks in advance and may God bless Windows Movie Maker!

Regards,

Jo
