Hi there, I hope someone can help. I have been advised to post on here by Outlook on Twitter. 

3 days ago I was trying to log into myHotmail account and kept receiving messages to say that I was using the incorrect password. I then tried to reset the password and got another message to say it looks like someone is using my account and I'd need to validate it to get access again. I couldn't do this via an alternate email as the one I originally attached to the account many years ago has long been out of existence. The other option was to fill in a questionnaire to prove I am who I say I am which I did. I received an issue number and was told someone would be in contact within 24 hrs. No one has been in contact since. Yesterday I rang customer services and explained. I was told I'd get a callback, which I did but only to confirm what is already said. No one could update me using the issue number and was again told if get contacted within 24 hours. I've still had nothing. 

I am just trying to find out where this process is up to as I would a.) like to be reassured that my account has not been hacked and b.) access my emails 

I appreciate that there may be many incidents that need to be investigated, however not receiving any updates on my incident when I was told twice I would hear something within 24 hrs is poor.
