Photo Gallery has trouble displaying my photos, when browsing through my gallery random parts of the image are not displayed (usually on the left side of the image). This problem only occurs in Photo Gallery, not when using windows image viewer, the photos app, office picture manager or 3rd party software.

The system I'm using is new and has a clean Windows 8.1 PRO (64bit) installation with all updates installed.

I'm using the following hardware with the latest drivers.

Intel Core i5-4590

ASUS H97-PRO

AMD R9 290 DC2 OC (ASUS)

Samsung Syncmaster 940BW monitor
