I have a sort of strange issue, because I haven't found anything quite like in my search for an answer, and usually I read answers, but now it is my turn to ask.
So what happens is as following. I use Fraps to record gameplay and recently I've been having in issue where I will go to watch over my .avi file that I just recorded, and it works - initially - because everything seems to be going smooth until about 3/4 to even sometimes seconds before the end of the video, I will get the popup "Windows Media Player encountered an error" The strange thing about this error is if I reopen the file the error might not happen at all, or it could happen at a different point.
Another part of this problem is that when I want put these videos in Movie Maker to edit, the files gain the warning sign or whatever, and they don't work and Movie Maker just asks me to remove it.
The files are recorded with the FPS1 codec (Fraps) and the computer should have it, I even re-installed fraps, it's just weird because the avi files will work for a bit, and then all the sudden I encounter the error. I should also mention that the files work when I load them into VLC media player, but I need to be able to edit them in Movie Maker.
Thanks for your help!
