Anyone know how to import Names and Emails to Outlook contacts v14.1 from Excel 14.1?

I have had several referrals to other topics and questions, still no luck. Is there someone who has experience with this that can help, Please?

The email addresses DO NOT LOAD INTO OUTLOOK FOR SOME REASON! 

WHY?

I have tried all file types including TXT and CSV.

Need an expert who has done this. I am thinking this is not a compatible situation for Mac Office.
