Hi,

I recently did a trial with Office 365 that was included with my technet account and I used my usual Microsoft account not realising it would block my outlook.com access (who would have known!!).

I've made sure there is no longer any active users for the domain in question (let's call it myowndomain.com for example) but if I try and remove the domain, I get the error:

We can't remove the myowndomain.com domain because of one or more of the following issues:

  • There are user accounts associated with this domain.
  • There are email or Microsoft Lync accounts using this domain.
Anyway, the current situation is that I can still access the Microsoft account from devices (Windows Phone, iPad) but I can't login to outlook.com; I get the error in the title. Somewhere in the depths of Microsoft's systems there is a record of my Microsoft account being used for Office 365 so I'm hoping someone in Microsoft can remove this link from Office 365 so I can use it again with outlook.com. I'm not too concerned about being able to remove the domain from Office 365 but I need to be able to use outlook.com as this is how I usually do email.

I've tried using different browsers, clearing the cache, cookies, etc... no different. Any ideas Microsoft?

Cheers!
