Since yesterday evening (around 8PM CEST) I noticed I am unable to sync any of the Microsoft accounts I had registered in Windows Live Mail. In case it is relevant around that time I sent (or tried anyway) to send an email from a Hotmail account but I found later that the email was stuck in the Outbox (regular text email, no attachments).

Since none of the Microsoft accounts were able to sync I though it could be something on your side, so I didn't pay much attention. This morning I was presented with the same error message, so I take it the problem is here.

Up to now the only way I could add Microsoft accounts to WLM and be able to read and send emails is going through POP3, but that's not a solution when I want to use the calendar as well since the calendars are not synced to the ones in the primary account for example.

Reading several threads I've tried the following things without success:
 - Remove and add again 1 such account.
 - Uninstall WLM and install again.
 - Uninstall, delete all traces of it (in %AppData%, %LocalAppData% and the registry); install again and add a Microsoft account.
 - Reset Internet options (Internet Properties->Advanced->Reset...).
 - Disable checking for certificate revocations.
 - Flush DNS resolver cache, change to a different DNS server.

Now I have it installed with one Microsoft account so I can perform any tests necessary. The machine is a 64-bit Windows 7 Professional and I'm connected to the internet via a router, not going through proxies.

I've enabled logging and uploaded a log in case that helps too, it's here: http://pastebin.com/MQrVSrw9
