I'm starting with Anamorphic DVD files from various 16:9 DVD +RW discs & using Windows Movie Maker in Windows Vista 32 bit
(1) I can get to MP4 files with the Anamorphic (STRICT) feature retained by using Handbrake or
(2) I can get to MPEG files by copying the files from the DVD & renaming from #.VOB to MPEG
I'd like to be able to edit the content of the various DVD's and retain the 16:9 aspect ratio.
With option (1) I'd have to further convert the MP4 as my version of WMM isn't compatible with MP4
With option (2) I'm not certain that the 16:9 flag was retained in the MPEG conversion as the recorded file is the same aspect ratio in both cases
Can anyone confirm if the 16:9 aspect ratio remains in the file type conversion of if there is a better method to edit / "stich together"the video content?
Thanks
Richard
