I have the same problem. I used Hotmail infrequently. Today I logged into Outlook mail for the first time and all my emails are gone - nothing in Inbox, Archive or Deleted. Nothing searchable. I tried following the suggestions at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/recover-deleted-messages but it didn't help.
