I have merged my two hotmail (now outlook) accounts probably close to 2 years ago. I presumed this meant that I did not have to frequently sign into my older hotmail (now outlook) account. However, when I did sign into my older hotmail account ALL of my folders and emails had been deleted! How is it possible for this to happen without any type of warning or reminder to sign into the account to keep it active?! I presumed that since the two accounts were merged that it would keep the older account active and safe from being deactivated. I am so upset to lose all of these emails as this is my original account I created with hotmail in 2001. Is there any way possible to recover these lost folders and emails? I have tried recovering the emails through the deleted folder but this did not help as I was not the one to delete the folders and emails, it was outlook who deleted them. In this original account, I still have all of my contacts and my profile information is the same as when I set up the account. So where have all of my emails and folders gone?! And is it possible to recover them?
