Hotmail (or Outlook) appears to have deleted or moved all of my emails from before 2007, in both my Inbox and Sent folder (older emails in my Saved folder are still there).

This is disastrous for me, as I have emails from then which are really important to me, both professionally and personally. I would like them to be recovered.

I can confirm that:

a) My account has not been hacked

b) I did not delete the emails myself

c) I have no relevant “sweep” settings which might have deleted the emails

d) I have not renamed my account to @outlook.com, though my Hotmail did change to Outlook a few months ago

e) My account has never been left dormant for more than a couple of days. I am a very frequent user.

f) Conversation Threader is not activated.

g) I have tried “auto restore” with no effect.

h) There are no emails from pre-2007 in my ‘deleted emails’ folder

Please advise as to the best course of action. This is a very serious fault and I hope to hear back soon.
