I noticed what appeared to be a new and/or additional administrator title listed on one of the file pages of my computer. It had a strange-looking code. If I'm not mistaken, I have always only had System administrator and my own username listed as anything
such as this. I typed this administration code in the search box, and it turned up Readme. Now Readme has been there forever, or at least since I have had this computer. Go to file location led me to Windows C. I clicked on Readme, and it lead me to Movie
Maker. After I arrived at Movie Maker, it said I can't use this app because it's not compatible with my computer. Then there's an option to allow Microsoft to follow my computer activity in order to make improvements. I'm no computer guru, but I've never heard
of one single app having an administrator. Why it lead me down the yellow brick road escapes me, but this was the only way I could solve this little mystery. Readme is just explained as a tool to provide information to help users understand computer processes.
I've clicked on it before, but it didn't have much to say. My only conclusion is that it could be a WX app because the comments I skimmed over about Movie Maker were all a category of WX. Readme was preloaded on my computer a few years ago, so it's been there
a while. I just don't understand what's with this "Administrator" business. I don't go to Windows C often because it's one of those things we don't mess with if we don't know what we're doing, but I do notice if something looks different. So what gives?
