I have successfully merged skype and messenger and can now see my esisting messenger contacts, but I can't seem to add new messenger contacts.

Yesterday I wanted to add someone who only has a messenger address and is not on Skype, the system only seems to allow me to add skype contacts. Also, the person I wished to add tried adding me to their messenger contacts using my messenger address. It seemed to work from their end but I didn't receive any contact requests.

How do I add new messenger only contacts?
