I have a separate hotmail account which was blocked because I was not able to complete the following screen that has shown up every time I signed in the last week. It allowed me to skip it seven times then locked me out. I had to create a new Microsoft
account to send this request for help. I had sent a request a couple of days ago through my hotmail account, but the response said I had to log in to my account to see the response - at which point I was already locked out of my account!
Call us overprotective...
...but we need to make sure you can receive a security code if you ever lose access to this account. Learn more.
Where should we send your code?
It then has a drop down list of either Text, Call, or Other.
No matter which one I selected, every time I clicked on "Next" to complete the request, it either said "You've requested too many codes this week. Please try again in a week." or "You've requested too many codes today. Please try again tomorrow." Even
the very first time I clicked "Next"!
I can still see my mail on my phone though but I need access on my computer for work.
I called support and they said I can only be helped online and to create a new account to request support.
Has my account been compromised? How do I access my account?
