I having an issue with accessing my xbox live accounts.  My original live account was set up with an email address that is no longer in use.   I` did try to transfer my live account to another email address. The email address that I tried to transfer it to was tied to a different xbox live gamer tag that had been deleted years ago.  When I tried to change from my original email address to the one that was used for a separate gamer tag,  the form barked at me and said that the email provided was still in use. I figured after a few months that the new email address, that had already been deleted, would not be tied to anything anymore.  So a few months past and I tried it again with the same results, "the email provided is already in use".  So then I tried to log into windows live with the account that is supposedly in use. When I tried that windows live came back with" the username or password is incorrect".  So I then asked to have my password reset, to do this you provide your email. When I entered the email address windows live came back with, "this email account is not active". 

Some how I was able to have my original password reset. I gained access to my live account after several attempts of filling out the security form. After a few days of that I was just happy to have access to my account again and didn't want to take the time figure out what the issue was with transferring the email to "the" other account". Today I had to get another xbox because the cd/dvd drive stopped functioning. When I transferred over the hard drive to the new one it had ask me to sign in again, which I did and now my account is locked, and they obviously want to use the email account that does not work to validate that I am who I am. 

So there are 2 separate issues with this, one my account is locked and two I want to transfer out the old email with the new.
