Hi

I have used Movie Maker for the last 2yrs with no problems. I have updated windows essentials too as required. I have a laptop running Windows 7 and I have run a program I bought to make sure all my drivers are up to date too.

Over the weekend I had an update for windows essentials and since then Movie Maker refuses to work. 

I have tried all the options offered on this site (as prompted when I put "access denied" in my post title) including a clean boot, scannow - I have also unistalled and reinstalled Movie Maker.

But still each time I get "Access Denied" with a link to a general google search on the problem but nothing specific.

This is really disappointing as I am using it to teach my daughter how to edit movies. 

Can some one shed some light on an alternative solution?
