Prior to "upgrading" from Windows 8 to 8.1, I frequently would work on an Excel file on my desktop computer, close and save it, then go to my packing room, open the same file on my Surface, and make updates. I would then save and close the file on my Surface and could return to my desktop and re-open it. Viola, all of my updates were there, and the ease of getting things done was beautiful. Enter Windows 8.1. Since "upgrading" to Windows 8.1, my bookmarks to my Skydrive files no longer work, and when I try to do what I describe above, I get nothing but "This file is locked for editing by another user" even when IT IS NOT! Now, I am spending my afternoon trying to fix this problem and playing I.T. manager for something THAT WORKED PERFECTLY BEFORE. Why do you insist on **** US OFF at every turn? Microsoft: IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT. World: Windows 8.1 is a SERIOUS DOWNGRADE FROM 8.0... DO NOT INSTALL IT. HOW DO I GET BACK TO MAKING THIS WORK? VERY PISSED CUSTOMER, Mark
