Hello,
After migrating to Windows 8.1 I had a little disaster on my SkyDrive folder (I had over 30Gb files in documents) and I previously used SkyDrive to sync files. After I installed 8.1 on my 3 computers, they started to sync again and files got damaged but fortunately I had done a backup and everything is ok.
The problem is that I now have over 125000 files in my SkyDrive recycle bin and I am unable to delete them. After 1 month they still reside there and pollute my other files and I think it also affects my SkyDrive account performance.
When I click to empty my bin… It tries to select them all and… delete them. After deleting few files an error appears that I don’t have permission to delete the file. I can however delete manually 200 files in one batch but it takes about 5 minutes, deleting 125 000 would take 625 batches – with deleting and selecting files it would take about 6250 minutes that is 104 hours that is 4,3 days of nonstop deleting. This is unacceptable.
I called Polish Microsoft Support (I’m from Poland) but they addressed me here as an official support for SkyDrive. I need help – tried all browsers, tried many ways. I’m a MCP and still can’t handle this ridiculous bug.
I think Microsoft underestimated the importance of SkyDrive. It should be a way better product. I want to use SkyDrive and I love this service, still Microsoft can make it 100 times better!
