Secretary (Mac Outlook 2011 14.3.9) has access to my Outlook contacts located on Win8 machine running MS Office 365 Premium.  Both are connected to an MS Exchange server.

Secretary can update my contacts without any problem but there is not a "This is the mailing address" check mark on the Mac so on the Windows PC you will not see the address when you fully open up the contact (i.e. Secretary updates the address of a contact - work address and cannot make it the "default mailing address" on my machine from her desktop if the home address was already checked on my desktop.)

Is there a newer version on Mac side that will accomplish this task?

Thanks for your time in advance!

Hello,

I have been noticing a strange problem at my work place with our email and Outlook 2011 for Mac. Occasionally when someone sends out a meeting request, typically a reoccurring meeting, or updates a time on the meeting, the reminder will be received with the incorrect time. It isn't applying any kind of UTC time change (like UTC-6 for Central Time) and it is stating it is in "Greenwich Standard Time". The actual meeting is correctly put on the calendar at the correct time, so this is specifically with the reminder that Outlook creates and emails to itself.

I have only noticed this happening on Outlook 2011. All of the Windows computers with Outlook of any edition receive it with the correct time and so does any person that is still using Microsoft Entourage, as well as any phones or tablets. It would appear that Outlook is just incorrectly applying the UTC modifier, but I can't find any setting that is incorrect that could cause this to happen.

Again, this isn't a constant problem and happens every once in a while, but often enough to start annoying some people. I have already tried blowing away preferences to no avail, as well as reinstall Outlook. Any guesses what could be causing the problem?

Thanks!

This is a screen shot of what is going on. The meetings are the exact same meeting. The reminder on the left is from my Mac and the one of the right is from my Windows computer.

Hi one of my clients regularly prints her managers calendar and tasks.  But every time she does it her tasks also appear in the task list. Why is that happening? How can she stop that from happening?  She's ensured that her task list is not ticked when she's sends it to print.  Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I have Office 2011 Outlook for Mac (v.14.4.1) and connect it with an Exchange server. On some e-mails I can see there are attachments, but they are grayed out. I can not forward or reply to these e-mails. When opening the same Exchange account in MacMail, there is no issue at all, same goes for OWA and OMA: both work perfectly. The only location with issues is my Outlook 2011.

It also seems to be random: From several domains (including the ones I have placed in "safe domains"). Sometimes it happens with small attached images, sometimes with larger attached documents. Sometimes with Excel, sometimes with PNG, JPG, etc. I can't find a regularity in the issue.

Can anybody help me here? I have searched the web for a solution, but I can not find related issues.

Thanks in advance.

Harold

Hi,

I am using Outlook for Mac 2011. I am unable to build a table. Instead have to create a table in word and then cut paste into Outlook. Similarly, when I cut and paste from excel to outlook, the bordering of the cells are all wiped out

Please advise.

I have just reinstalled Office 365 on my Mac after it was returned from the repair shop after a crash, when I try to access Outlook I get the message "Your Office database is missing and needs to be rebuilt" I have tried to rebuild it but it will not let me past the error message. The other programs in Office 365 seem to be working it is just Outlook that I am having problems with.

Can anyone please help

Thank you

Hi

In Outlook.com you can set the calendar so that it sends you an email (reminder) a certain time before an event starts. I would like to know if the same feature is available in Outlook for Mac 2011.

Thanks in advance

I have synced two accounts to Outlook 2011 (one which is a Microsoft 365 and the other is a BT Yahoo account). The folders from the Microsoft 365 account have synced correctly with Outlook however the folders for the BT Yahoo account have not synced at all. I wondered if anyone else has had this problem and/or had a solution.

Many thanks.

I recently installed Office for Mac 2011 onto a new mac.  I had used the software before on my old machine which was backed up daily using Time Machine.

I copied the folder called Office  2011 Identities in full to the folder called Microsoft User Data on the new machine.

When I opened Outllook, I discovered that I have lost all data since May 2012.  When I inspect the folder called Main Identity, I see it was last modified in May 2012, even though I have used it up until today.

Could it be that the database was not backed up since May 2012, even though Time Machine was doing daily backups of all files?

thanks
