In Outlook under Tools>Accounts there are yellow or green dots to the left of the email accounts I use.  What do these signify?
When i use Send and Receive  - Folders Under My Computer  - Disappear.  I have to quit Outlook 2011 to get them back.

Hi - I have seen a  few threads on this but despite trying them, nothing has worked. Background is that for the last 12+ months I have been quite happily accessing my corporate email (MS Exchange) via Outlook for Mac 2011 - only thing was that I had to change the server connection details when on / off corporate network but that had been fine up until last Wednesday when I got the following error:

I have tried the following:

  • Removing and recreating the account in Outlook
  • Removing the entries in KeyChain
  • Running KeyChain First Aid
  • Creating a new Key Chain
  • Creating a new account on the MacBook and trying to add the account again
  • Tried disabling autodiscover for the account
  • Removing and reinstalling Office for Mac

The bizarre thing is that if on the corporate network it is fine, but when off network get the issue. The exchange account seems fine as still getting push email to iPhone and can access via OWA so it seems to be the issue is linked to being off network, trying to access account via EWS/Exchange.asmx on my MacBook.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as running out of ideas and don't fancy rebuilding my MacBook.

I think my Outlook Mac 2011 software install is damaged.

When I go to tools, accounts, I just get a blank box.

So I can't change account data.

Is the solution to reinstall outlook? If so what is that process like.

Hi all,

Once upon a time 2 Mac running OSX Mavericks in a Windows network. Both of them are configured with an Exchange 2010 SP3 account under Outlook for Mac 2011.

One of these 2 Mac does not encounter any issue with Outlook.

The other randomly and frequently prompts Kerberos credentials at Outlook's startup. The only work around : reboot the Mac one or several times... In fact, we have to reboot it because when this issue occurs, even if the credentials are correct, Outlook refuses to connect to Exchange.

The Exchange account flawlessly runs with Outlook 2010 under Windows 7, and equally via OWA. I've already deleted the configuration of Outlook for Mac and recreated this account, but without success.

I've seen this post : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/13893a48-80d3-43e1-ab39-02a99c19f993/outlook-2011-for-mac-prompts-for-exchange-password-and-then-fails-to-sync-even-though-outlook?forum=exchange2010, but I don't think this solution is necessary and relevant in my case.

Would you have an idea about this ?

Thanks. Have a good day.

Hi.

i have two email accounts which are attached to my outlook. my second account i have in outlook was working fine and then one day i noticed that there were multiple inboxes being created. it looks like there is no plain old 'inbox' but there are about a hundred 'inbox 1' 'Inbox 1.1" 'inbox 1.1.1" and so on. they are all listed below each other. i have tried to delete them all one by one but they just reappear more and more each time i open up outlook.

any ideas???

Having just moved to Mac I am used to being able to set the file that I would like an email saved in before I send it.  I also like to save some sent emails in my inbox.  There are multiple reasons for saving a sent email in particular files so a 'rule' is too rigid.  Can I save and send on mac like I could on Windows?
