About a month ago I installed Windows 10 on my computer but reverted back to Windows 7 Home Premium right away. I didn't like it at all. When I went back to Win 7 I had 11,000 emails many dating back more than 10 years in my Inbox. I went through most of them, keeping a few of them. I have since noticed every email in the Storage Folder displays "Message cannot be found. The contents of this message cannot be found. Windows Live Mail" in the body of the message.
I tried these solutions found in this forum but nothing has worked.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1. Restart the computer (this is to ensure that Live Mail is fully shut down, and that none of it's components are in use when the computer starts)
2. Click Start, type CMD but do not press enter
3. You will see cmd.exe in the search results, right click on it and select Run as Administrator - type your admin password if asked, and if UAC pops up asking premission, allow it
4. You should now see the command prompt, with the following displayed:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:Windowssystem32>
5. Copy the following (Ctrl+C)
esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"
Note: the "" are necessary
6. Right click in the command prompt Window, and select Paste, so you now see the following:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:Windowssystem32>esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"
7. Press enter. esentutl will now defragment the Live Mail database file
8. Once done, you can close the command prompt, and restart the PC again
Second Suggestion:
Click Start then go to Control Panel.
Under Programs, click Uninstall a Program and select Windows Live Essentials 2011 then click Uninstall/Change located at the top.
On the next dialog, select Repair all Windows Live programs.
I recently got the email that Windows Live Mail 2011 would no longer be able to connect with Outlook.com. So, I downloaded and installed Windows Essential 2012 and installed the required patch. After working through many of the problems mentioned in other posts, I discovered that Windows Live Mail does not find the "Folders on Computer", which are accessible either via Outlook.com or with the Windows 10 mail app. How to I connect them to Windows Mail 2012? I tried importing them from the folder in ..../appdata/local..., but I get a message that there are no mail messages or the folder is in use by another program. Please suggest options for making my "Folders on Computer" accessible in Windows Live 2012.

I cannot send emails in Windows live Mail. I can receive emails. I get an error code on one email. The code is 0x8BEE0005.
I use Outlook 2011 as an email client. I have an IMAP account with several subfolders and I have a lot of email in these folders which is stored on the servers of my ISP.
I have recently signed up with BT, mainly to get BT Sport, but I want to use my BT mail address for future emails. I need access to the emails stored on my initial ISP's servers, and thought I could do this by setting up new folders on the BT server and copying the emails from the initial folders into them. This seemed to work, but now, a couple of days after the copying, the mails no longer show in the new folders. I thought that perhaps the copying was not meant to work and started looking at exporting and importing the emails in the various folders, but I cannot get this to work.
Can somebody tell me how this can be done?
For background, the initial ISP also provides me with webspace to a domain I own. I have no future need of it and want to give up the domain, but if I do this now I will lose access to my email in the folders. I would like to transfer everything as soon as possible and close the domain but in practice it will have to continue for some time as, like many people, my email address on the old server is registered with lots of companies whose products I use. I have details of many of them, but some come as a surprise, today's being my ongoing sub to the Automobile Association. I think I will have to run both mail accounts for say six months to catch all of them before I can close the original account but it would be a big step forward to get the mail from the initial iSP' servers to the BT servers.
All of a sudden, I have untitled events added on my calendar. The events (about 100) have the same time. I do not know if this is related to the latest patch Windows Live Mail 2012 that I did.
Is there an easy way of clearing these events and how can it be prevented from happening again?
I recently received an email from Outlook telling me to run update for Windows Live Mail 2012. I followed the link to microsoft and ran the Windows Live Essentials Mail 2012 update (KB3093594).
As soon as I completed this update, when I opened my WLM 2012, I received the following error statement:
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is possible."
Somehow this update caused a corruption. How to I correct this to get my WLM 2012 working again?
