Original Title: Windows live mail problem.
I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. My Windows live mail receives mail but can't display the content. I went back to Windows 7 and the same thing resulted. I then repaired Windows Essentials - no help Then I installed Windows Essentials which took the live mail from 2011 to 2012. No help. I can take the e-mails on my phone (same gmail account) and forward them to the laptop and they don't show the message. I can take the e-mails on my phone and send them to my Yahoo mail account and they work fine. The text box shows "Message could not be displayed" and "Windows Live Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again."

For the past week Windows live Mail has started hanging at least once a day. I have to do a force restart of my computer to get it freed up. Is there a fix for this problem?? I don't know if it started with the last updates that were installed or not. I know that MS is hot to get everyone to move to windows 10 but I am not sure that they would go to the extreme of putting bugs into the last update to encourage folks to move. After 24 years in IT I have become a bit syndical about these kind of things. So, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. If there is a problem caused by the update I wish that they would make it a priority to get a fix released. So if anyone knows what this problem or have a way to fix it without having to a ton of restore from previous updates, please let me know.
thanks,
mike
Since updating Windows Live Mail in Windows 10 last week, I can not send or receive email.

I use windows 10 pro and for my mail I have been using Microsoft Essentials 2011 and like the program. After receiving a message from Microsoft that 2011 version is not supported anymore I downloaded a MS Essentials 2012. Program installed without giving any errors, found all my e-mail accounts and the storage folders. However, it stops working when it tries to update the calendar. I get the following message:
"Windows Live Mail has stopped working correctly. We will notify you when solution is available."
Installing an October 2015 patch that supposedly makes Live Mail 2012 run correctly on Windows 10 did not help.
Going through the same process on my work computer (and not installing a latest patch), I did not encounter any problems (so far).
How can I resolve this situation? Any suggestions.
