My photos have recently imported directly into my pictures library.  I'd like to have them in a folder in desktop mode so that I can easily copy and paste and use for things like photobox etc.  I cannot see how to move pictures from the photo library to desktop mode.  Can somebody help me please?

Hi,

Recently I reinstalled my Lenovo laptop by restore OS from factory default recovery partition. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (Language, Simplified Chinese).

Then I installed Windows Live Mail (WLM) 2012 as my email client. Strange thing is,  I have 2 hotmail accounts, one works perfectly once setup in WLM, the second one however, could not display Chinese properly in sender field only (it is ok in title field, and no problem in reading panel), as shown below.

I tried tweaking WLM options a bit, but no help. Again, the other hotmail account don't have this problem at all, the only difference for this 2 hotmail account is that the good one originally was applied from Windows Live China website, the problematic one was applied from Singapore website. But before I reinstall the system, the 2 accounts work fine in WLM.

I bing/googled the topic, but unfortunately no useful suggestion was found.

Please help if anyone knows what is going wrong, thank you very much!

Jun

Hello,

I am hoping someone here might know something...

OS: Windows 8.1 (JP)

WLM version: Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3563.0918)

Default character encoding: Japanese

Problem:

-After installing KB3093594 the sender's name gets corrupted

-No problem for the titles, mail messages, recipient etc.

-No problem if sender's name contains alphabets/numbers

Only if the sender's name is Japanese(contains kanji characters), the characters get corrupted

I've tried changing the character encoding to other Japanese languages,

UTF-8 etc. but it doesn't really solve anything. The mail messages get corrupted instead.

In the Japanese community, the discussion ended by someone telling the user

to stop using Windows Live Mail or to change to IMAP server.

But since this problem came from the KB3093594 update

I prefer to fix this issue without changing to IMAP server(well that would be the last resort).

I've checked out KB3093594 related postings and the one below but still can't figure out the the way to solve this issue.

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Outlook.com shows the received line when you show source, but with the new update, WLM has stripped all of them.  This makes them invalid e-mail and it is impossible to trace where spam originates.  Going to outlook.com will allow tracing, but it is a pain and I want to use WLM.  This must have something to do with the supposed upgrade, but how do I get back to before that?

Thanks, Mike

I tried Win 10, hated it, went back to Win 7 three days later. And, imagine my surprise when after seeing the promises that all my files would be right where I left them.... they weren't.

I am using Win Live Mail for several POP accounts. Interestingly the email stuff all survived the move TO Win 10, but now has crashed in the reverse to Win 7. I use Carbonite and will fetch my files, but before I do, I think I need to uninstall and reinstall WLM as it won't allow me to log in, the emails show in the inbox but will not open or show contents, further, my contacts list is blank.

After the initial heart attack at seeing all my folders, saved emails, contacts, etc., gone from sight, I started search forums to learn what to do. Nothing found so far.

I think I know what to do next... get on with the uninstall/reinstall, but if anyone has any advice before I do this, I'd appreciate it.

I've purchased a new computer and loaded windows live email and my account is with sbcglobal.net through yahoo. When it receives my emails it will only go back until about the middle of November of this year, is there any way to go back and get my emails from the past year or so
