When I open outlook on my Mac, I get the message that I need to activate my account.  It has been and is active.  it works fine on my other computer.  Our product key doesn't work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a problem with installed version (14.4.2 140509)  of Mac Office 2011 Outlook running on iMac OSX 10.9.3:

1. Initially, about a month after installation, I found that I could not send outgoing emails (replies or new compositions) and that the outgoing emails simply disappeared--i.e. didn't appear in sent or outbox.  The problem was intermittent and now is constant. When attempting to send an email I get error message alert-

-The server for account “Outlook” returned the error “4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later.” Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?---Despite checking password and multiple tries, nothing works. NOTE that the application works at Outlook.com web version and also works if I use the Mac Mail application...

I tried changing port to 587 with 'override port checked

2.  Now, when using the Send/Receive command on the ribbon, I get repeated Outlook alerts--
"An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic"

In Outlook prefs I have the info for account email and password (triple checked) for incoming port 993

Outgoing smtp.outlook.com port 25 (and tried 587)

checked boxes override and use SSL to connect

I see others on the site and a few others seem to have trouble with Outlook mail being sent without hangups--is there a systematic error that can be corrected?

Is there any assurance that a re-install from the CD with fix the problem?

Should I just revert to Outlook web?--that would seem like a waste of the installed software but could do it.

Thanks for any advice--I'm out of my depth with this one.

Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, How do I flag a new e-mail for follow-up at a later date?

I know how to do it with a message I have received, but not a new created e-mail.

Using Outlook for Mac, I need to know how, if possible, to find and copy Outlook email folders stored on my computer to another computer.  On a PC, copying the .pst files made this fairly easy.  Is there an equivalent file/method to use on the Mac?

Hi I am trying to get to grips with working on office on a mac.  I have found format painter for Word but not for outlook - can anyone help?

Many thanks

When I turn on the computer it says activate Outlook. Problem is that I haven't purchased it. And now I can't turn of the computer because of it. When I start it, I can't close it. How do I get it away?

PS I have tried preferences > accounts. And it is in Norwegian. But you get the picture.

When I create a folder to hold mail in Outlook 2011, it immediate goes into folder name edit mode so I can type in the name of the folder.  But it only stays in that mode for about a second.  When I try to rename it, it also only stays in edit mode for a second or two and all on its own jumps out of edit mode.  It takes 6-10 tries to get a folder name entered, often one character at a time.

Any ideas?

I am using MS outlook 2011 in my Mac Book. Having some difficulty with outlook calendar. When a calendar update is received, I am unable to accept if I have not accepted the previous calendar invite. Is this the behavior with Windows outlook too? I never faced this problem with windows outlook. And in such case, if I have lost earlier calendar update, there is no way I can accept the further update as this is the case currently? Can you please take a look.

Hello

I have several Google accounts and want to use Outlook in Office 2011 to manage them on my mac.

I have purchased an Office 365 annual license and installed Office 2011.

I have set up my accounts and all the email is coming through.

However, I could not sync contacts - but I have resolved that by a tiresome export and import.

The remaining issue is my Outlook calendar. Only the meetings that have invites still in my inbox are showing. None of the (plenty of) other existsing calendar entries in my Google calendar are showing. Most of the existing entries are repeating occurances (if that makes any difference) also a number are appointments just for me rather than meetings with other attendees.

Also I notice that if I create a calendar event in Outlook it only shows there an does not appear in my Google calendar. I cant see which (if any) of the Google email accounts the Outlook calendar is associated with.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this? Quite possibly user error, though I think I followed the set up instructions correctly.

Thnaks in advance,

Richard

When I type in a name to send an email, Office gives me lots of John and Peters that I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANYMORE?

How do I get rid of the folks names I don't want to see?
