My mother and some friends told me she got an email off my old email asking for money etc (standard fake email stuff). I want to delete the account but have forgotten my security details so can't access the account. How can I get Microsoft to delete the
account for me?
When signing into hotmail/outlook today, my phone number came up, and i pressed next to get a code. i received a phone call with a code and entered it? Then i realized I may be being scammed in some way. Am I being scammed? What are the ramifications.
Hotmail hacked? Or the entire computer or was this legit?

I am having trouble getting a code from you in order to get into my email account. I work on line a lot of the time and have

with an hotmail address when I cannot get into the system? This makes no sense at all?

I have a hotmail account that I've used for many years. However recently I was asked to verify my account, through this process an email was sent to the account I was restricted from accessing, due to that same email address needing to be verified. Since
I could not access my inbox to receive that email verification code, I could not verify my account. The other option of verifying your account requires me to provide information which I don't not remember (considering this email address is many years old.).
I just want to know, is there any way of gaining access to my old hotmail account? As many other profiles are attached to that address (such as Xbox live).

When I open an email that has an attached PDF file, It only lets me download as a zip, I can't see it or open it.
See title. When I try to find out how to disable the spell-check I am told to go into 'my outlook account'. Finding that, without my permission, 'Outlook' has indeed been put in my list of programs, I tried opening it and am variously told that my 'Trial version' has expired and I must buy a proper one, or asked to 'create' an e-mail account. (I already have a Hotmail one and want no other.) Thus there is no 'outlook account' to go into.
All I want to do is stop this officious automatic alteration of my spelling in e-mails. Please someone tell me how.
First, thank you Microsoft for a great outlook.com and now with iMap which is great. I like using Mac Mail and I have my emails sending and receiving correctly. But I am having problems with the folders.
problem 1:
If I "save my sent items" on the server, I get duplicate sent items since I believe the SMTP server saves its own copy and then iMap from the client Mac Mail saves its own. If I disable "save sent items on the server", I now will have 2 folders in the
client. One that is really what is sent and one that is synced with the server. FInally, I set it to "Not Save" and do a clean-up every 24 hours on the local sent items.
Problem 2:
If I delete an item from the inbox and move it to the trash, it only deletes it from the inbox when I actually remove it form trash or when I exit Mail but I like to keep mail running in the background. Sometimes I access the mailbox from the web at work
where iMap is blocked. From my iPhone through EAS and at home through Mac Mail. So direct delete from inbox is great. I currently have it set to clean up my trash every 24 hours to help with synchronization.
Enclosed is my setting. 
When I open my daughters email account it keeps saying "Your account is not ready It looks like your parent hasn't finished setting up the Family Safety settings for your account. Click "Go to Family Safety settings" to finish the process and get into
your account" This happens every time I log in am able to use skydrive and calendars but unable to go into outlook. I have tried family safety settings and unable to fix the problem I end up deleting my family safety account and erasing it from the pc and
still unable to see her emails
