Good day, I have Windows 8 and have loaded Windows Essential 2012, many times, in order to use Windows Live Mail. Have two accounts on it. Both of which do not retain any sent messages....have tried reinstalling, but no effect. Kindly advise what to do to get this programme operating correctly.

Also there is no Tool Bar shown...where is it hiding??

Thanking you................Brian

I have had a Dell XPS 14Z PC for a year.  It was preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system which included Windows Live Mail.  I imported my Telstra Bigpond and Hotmail email accounts onto WLM.  Until this morning I was always able to open WLM from the icon, but today it will not get past the WLM loading graphic which says 'Starting...' and has a small blue ring continually rotating.  If I click on the icon on the task bar or Start menu I can still open and send a new email, event or contact and it also tells me when I have a new message but I cannot get into the actual program to view emails, contacts, events.  I do not want to lose the contents of my Inbox, sent emails or list of contacts.  I use WLM every day.  I have tried the repair Windows Essentials option but to no avail.  I have also gone to Task Manager to delete the wlm process and restarted but this makes no difference.  I am reluctant to uninstall/install WLM as I do not want to lose any information held.  Can someone please help? Thanks.

My son used an invalided email account when he signed up for Xbox live and now I can't the parent log into accept the new terms and he tried using the wrong information to many times the account is closed.... He has an expensive gamer tag and does not want to start over. The wrong email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. What can be done to fix this...

Received error that message to large, tried to cancel but can only stop it in drop menu; when I again log into mail it starts to try to email in the outbox again.

Looked for an outbox to enter and delete??

Hi, I have been getting the following message for over a week now...

Your service is Suspended. Please make the required DNS changes.
You can Cancel service or Edit mail settings

  • DNS record type: MX
  • Host: galones.com.ve
  • MX server: 6760e66ccb35eb45ba8f0a02a6dca6.pamx1.hotmail.com
  • TTL: 3600 or 1 hour
  • Priority: 10 (or High priority)

I have checked my DNS personally & had my domain host check it too (more than 1 week ago already). However I'm still getting the above message and am not receiving any email (can still send).

Need to get this fixed quick, please help,

I recently updated my PC from Windows 8 to 8.1.
I was running 2 accounts on that PC, each having his/her own Windows Live Mail individually. After the update WLM started in one account. In the other account it sort of freezes during startup and the processor uses 30% of its capacity for this start-up of WLM. Only via task manager I can stop this.
I tried to repair WLM via the Configuration Panel, This did not help. The I removed all WLM files in the user/apps directory an dinstalled again WLM without success. Is WLM not compatible with W8.1, or has anyone an idea to fix this?
Why have the Windows Live emails that I saved to separate folders disappeared?  Can they be recovered?  Looks like there might be a limit of one month.

Hi,

I had tried to send an email with photos yesterday, and it didn't work. Now I get this message:

Delete the photo email, create a new one, and try to send it again.

Server: 'smtp.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8CCC0002
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): Yes

However, I cannot find the email in order to delete it. I've looked in every folder I have. Please let me know how I can fix this.

I can receive but not send emails.

Thanks,

-Andrea

All of a sudden when I go on to Windows Live Mail I'm receiving the message that the TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server. What should I do?
