Hi There.
I have been having an issue recently when sending out emails containing invoices (.pdf attachments) to our clients. They all use WIndows Live Mail as their default email client and have various accounts, although most are with BT Internet.
The issue we they have been having is that for some unknown reason, when we send out an email containing their invoice, it arrives in their inbox in Windows Live Mail without the attachment included. Yet, if they log into their same account via BT webmail - the attachment is there!
The email is sent out via outlook and most clients report no problems receiving the emails or attachments - except those using Windows Live Mail.
This has ben an on-going issue for sometime now and we really do need a solution.
Many thanks,
Scott.
The only way I have found to restore the Live Mail service is to uninstall and reinstall the program.
Any suggestions?
bernard.

I can't access my email through anything other than Time warner webmail which is incredibly lame now that I have had windows email for so long. I had to do an upgrade to windows Pro from vista. the whole system has given me nothing but fits since day one with Vista. I have no respect and very much contempt for micro soft as I believe they are the root cause of the problems I have been having. What do I have to do, what hoop did I miss? What caused my email to dissappear? Why doesn't / Didn't it reestablish itself as did everything else? Is there a trick I am missing to get my 17000 pieces of mail back in the file system I set up? Or am I just screwed? My Windows email won,t even go online! what do I need to do?
I've tried repeatedly to save my name, home information, and phone number for my profile in my Windows Live account, but when I click Save the status for the section continues to be "No Information". Upon opening the section for editing again, the information is indeed not saved. I don't want to start a new account; can this be fixed? Note: My profile sections for Email and Business are accurate.
Note that this occurs when I access my profile via https://login.live.com/ppsecure/post.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1385524151&rver=6.0.5276.0&wp=MCMBI&wreply=https%3a%2f%2fprofile.microsoft.com%2fRegsysProfileCenter%2finfodefault.aspx%3flcid%3d1033%26lc%3d1033&lc=1033&cb=LCID%3d1033%26WizID%3d00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000%26brand%3dmicrosoft%26subbrand%3dprofile%2bcenter&id=74335&cbid=50861&mkt=en-us&bk=1385524152
Is this still a valid way to access my profile?
Hi,
I have a Windows Live Account and I have created several others in an attempt to set up Windows Family Safety, but I have not been successful. With all the accounts I have created, I keep encountering one of two error messages with either account. One says that "this service is not available at this time", and the other states that the account is not registered as a Parent. I have read the comments from discussion threads where advice is given on how to correct the known issues, related to these error messages, and none of them work for me. When I log into Windows Live with an account, no matter which account, they look the same, and there is never an option to add a child with the exception of the link subsumed under Permissions. When I click on Permissions and click on add account, all I see is the opportunity to add social media accounts to my Windows Live account. I have tried almost every permutation I can think of to resolve this issue. Please provide guidance. Thanks.
I am preparing to back-up my hard-drive as a precaution to WIndows 8.1 upgrade (from Windows 8.0). I would like to back up my various Windows Live Mail "Storage Folders". I do not believe WIndows 8.0 File History protects this data and Windows 8.1 upgrade may delete them.
There is plenty of information on this site on how to export and import contacts and email for Windows Live Mail desktop client but the instructions for back up and recovery (if needed) of email "storage folders" is not clear. If I go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail.....do I copy to an external drive the entire "Windows Live Mail Folder" or just the folder named "Storage Folder" ? Once I have done this, what do I need to do if I need to recover them after the windows 8.1 upgrade ? Thanks for you help.
This was a problem I experienced in 8.1 Preview and now I see it is the same in 8.1 proper. I have tried marking the Apple emails as junk but the odd one still gets into my in-box. If this then gets to the top of the list Mail closes or freezes as it tries to open it. What is it about emails from Apple that is causing Mail to crash and is there anything I can do about it?
Any advice appreciated.
