I was able to successfully upload a picture that contained text through windows 8.1 camera roll. I copied my image to the camera roll folder after enabling the camera roll sync within windows 8.1. The OCR worked and generated extracted text. However, I am not able to obtain any search results using words from the extract text. I tried the search within Skydrive from a browser as well as from Windows 8.1 Search Files (as shown in the Channel9 demo from September on Skydrive's OCR). Can anyone shed light on why OCR extracted text is not part of the search index from within SkyDrive? What do I need to get this working as it was shown in the Channel9 demo?  I waited 24 hours and still no search results for any extract text words.

2 problems.. 1- my unread e-mail count is wrong. 2- my total mail count number is wrong. I can not see page numbers in the inbox.they are disabled..

i have 2 problems.. first, my message count is wrong. it says 1 unread message eventhough there is no unread message in my inbox. second problem is total email count in the inbox wrong. it says 133 messages but i can only see 42 messages in the inbox.. also it shows 4 pages to see all 133 messages but i cannot go thru page 3 or 4 to see other emails becuse they are disabled. what is going on??

25 GB storage

I am a long time Hotmail user, and upgrade to outlook.com as soon as it comes out,  and according to the loyalty program, I should have 25 GB storage automatically.  I didn't get any email about upgrading to 25 GB storage.

 

How do I go about getting 25 GB storage?

 

btw, I am an active visual studio developer that plan to develop app for windows 8.1, the 25 GB storage is important to me more than ever since my surface pro has very limited space after putting all the necessary apps.

How do I upload large files (2GB+) to SkyDrive?

I have a TrueCrypt volume as a file which I uploaded to SkyDrive. This is the only file on my SkyDrive, but I would like to use my entire 7GB of space. However when I try to create a TrueCrypt volume as a file in SkyDrive, SkyDrive says it can only upload files less than 2GB. Is there a way to fix this, including possibly splitting the TrueCrypt volume into 1GB files but combined when mounted?

old hotmail.com account

I have an old hotmail.com account that apparently has my primary domain set up as an alias. I haven't logged into it for years and therefore I've no idea what the answers to all of the questions are in the "recover account" form. I need to remove the alias from it in order to set up my domain with Outlook.com here (https://domains.live.com/)

How the heck do I get it removed if I can't log into it? It's defunct now and the old email should really just be closed off.

I cannot access my in box messages even tho it says I have 13 new messages.

I have around 4-5 calendars under the same Hotmail Live account. How do I synchronize ALL my calendars (multiple calendars) created under the same Hotmail Live account into my Android phone using the mail/calendar, without install of outlook.com?

why does my default font change in the middle of composing?

I set my font to a certain style, a larger size and save the settings.  When I look at the settings, they are what I want.  When I open a new compose email, the settings are something else.  I have to deliberately change them for each email.  If I space ahead or enter to skip a line, the settings revert back to the unwanted font and small size.  How do I keep my preferences saved so they are the actual default and reliable?

Images do not appear in incoming email, only a black box with a white x in it.

The black box appears in the upper left corner of the blank image.  I can see attachments, but not images, that are in the body of the email.
