Question about Outlook Express

1. what a term "categories" for groups begin this saga of having to work with asocial inventor types Microsoft employs to skin more dollars ... and always more time over bugs  from us

2. refuses to send to categories at random times with CAVEAT, it might still send to someone listed as Contact while stripping all those in Category from your outgoing email with NO notice !?!?!?  WOW, very professional

3. read ALL the fixes, blocked from replying to most, nothing works and watch out for "updates" that can really download additional Pandora Box contents into this dog with fleas

4. delete category rebuild it works once but so do other tricks to rid fleas

5. save refused message, close Live Mail, then try try again again .... might take only one or may tries and some ... next day might work

6. call MS support only to waste hours, become their trail/error slave while they scratch their head when the printed list in front of them runs out of to-dos ... then the SOP "we've NEVER heard of this problem before", as if YOU are the oddball

Interested in knowing what works for you and for how long

I attempted to set up an automatic email as an out of office reply to go out to all incoming emails over the Christmas break, but somehow the email went out to every email that was in our inbox system instead of the emails as they came in.

I shut the program down after trying to delete what was in the outbox, and now we cannot reopen the email program at all. When we try to click into it we get the task box appear showing that it is trying to send out 4000 emails with a warning, and that we are trying to send another 1000 but the program does not open.

My questions are:

1. Is there a way to stop the rest of the emails from leaving the system?

2. How do we now open Windows Live to check our emails?

I just installed the newest version of W10.  Story ReMix --which is under -- photos is there, but does not recognize

my video to bring in to edit.  I cannot get the video editor to appear which would allow me to create the video I want.

Is it possible the install is not complete?

I have Windows 10 (Latest Update) on my PC.  In addition to the Win10 MaIL programme I still use WLM for my day to day emails and have a Contact list of over a 1000 contacts saved in it.

If I access the contacts list by clicking on the link in the bottom left hand corner of the WLM screen, everything freezes and I then cannot access any contacts.

If I type part of  a contact name in the address bar of the 'New Mail' page, it instantly brings up the contact's address, however, I wish to edit my contacts, which currently I cannot do as I cannot get access to them.

Anyone any suggestions, please.
