I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 due to start menu problems that wouldn't go away.
Today I realized I didn't have Movie Maker anymore, so I downloaded Windows Essentials and installed it. However, I can't find it anywhere. There's no Windows Essentials or Movie Maker shortcut or folder under "All Apps", and a search for either didn't turn up anything on my hard drives - only an old shortcut to Movie Maker from before the Windows 10 upgrade.
Where did they install to?
I have windows 10 and have just tried recording a voice message on Voice recorder. The recording is ok but I have followed the details for sending as an attachment and the recipient says they can not open the file.
I have not used voice recording before, but saved the file in documents , as "all file" type. Should I save it as something else?
Please give simple and easy to follow instructions so I can send this file via email.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Movie Maker 12 from Windows 7 and old Movie Maker. I had no problems with old Movie Maker with Windows 7. With Windows 10/Movie Maker 12, I don't get any video in the editing box when I import one - all I see is a sound wave profile (full screen preview is just black). When I play it, I do get the audio but sometimes (not always) it is accompanied by a loud background static sound. This happens with both MP4 and WMV files.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Movie Maker 12, with similar results.
Thanks for the help.
