I'm using Windows 10 and WLM is my email client. When I receive an email with photos and try to view the photos (i.e. slide show) the default viewer is Photo Gallery. The photos open but are partially covered by white cross-hatching. I have re-installed Essentials but that didn't help. I also get cross hatching when I use photo Gallery to open pictures in my picture folder.

How to download a full install folder for Windows Live Mail 2009.  Do not want any later version for a variety of reasons.  Had WLM 2009 installed on Win 8.1 computer, it worked fine.  Had to reinstall OS, now my saved versions of the 2009 program get error code 0x80190194, which apparently is a "file not found"  code???  Did MS take that link down???

Thank you very much.

When I try to open Photos, get started, calculator and several others get an error message that states my t6rial license has expired. What gives? I thought win 10 was supposed to be a firm operating system.

Hello,

I did a data transfer from an old computer running WLM 2012 to a new computer running WLM 2012.  I used 'transwiz' to do this.  Essentially it packs up the user profile into a zip and extracts it on the new PC.

On the new PC I had forgotten my password to my WL account, and the recovery option cannot help me.  It is a 3rd party email account, so it would not know what emails were sent and received from the account, or what contacts I frequently email.   And since I don't remember any of the old passwords, or have an Xbox live account/Billing info the information is considered insufficient to restore.

What I do have is a 12MB WLCalendarstore.edb file which is about 10MB larger than the current one the program is loading.  Is there any way to import this file into WLM?  I've tried dropping the file into the appdata/microsoft/Windows Live Mail/calendars/%emailaddress%/DBStore and it just seems to overwrite it with the latest one on the MS server.

Is there a way I can recover the account via faxing my ID?

I just inserted my SD card from my camera to download the pictures. I have just over 1500. Everything seemed fine and it imported all pictures. I had it erase them from the SD card upon completion. My problem now is that photo gallery will only let me view about 200 of them. The first 150 or so, then it skips some and shows me a few more. For all the other pictures it is just a flower image and if I try to click on it it tells me that "Photo Gallery cannot open this photo or video. This file format is not supported or you don't have the latest updates to photo gallery." I tried to put a few of the images it won't let me see back onto the SD card and it won't let me do that either. I am afraid these pictures are lost to me, kids' birthdays, Christmas, etc. What can I do? As far as I know my photo gallery is up to date. I don't understand why it only did this to some pictures? While they were importing it showed all the images just fine and now this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My computer died, and I had to get a new hard drive. I restored my files, and have all my old emails from Windows Live Mail. They are in several folders, and I need them.  They are all .eml files.

My new computer has Windows Live Mail 10 Version 17.6310.42251.0. How do I import my old emails so I can read them? Or, even better, how do I import them into Outlook, which I now have? (WLM is horrible - it won't save old mails, and has no folders in the inbox!)

I have lost all emails in a Saved folder with sub folders in WLM 2011.  I now have WIN10.  I have read many post in support, but none seem to work for me.  I had over 100 email saved and now they are gone.  Can anyone help me get them back?  Please.

Surely there has to be a simple method of deleting Contacts from Windows Live Mail? Why can I not just click the contact & choose Delete???

I cannot see where I am at in Windows Photo Gallery 2012.  How can I get the folder structure on the left of where my photos are located?
