Already for quite some time I am experiencing problems with Windows Live Mail:

  • Some emails can’t be deleted and can’t be opened anymore.
  • Some emails can’t be opened and the notification ‘A problem has occurred while trying to open this message’ appears.
  • In some subdirectories in my archive in WLM appeared one and the same email when opening the different emails in that subdirectory. So the emails could be opened, but a wrong, different email appeared.

I understood from a thread about this in the Microsoft forum that defragmentation of  WLM through a command as administrator. I did this, and since then WLM does not start anymore. Instead, a message with error code '0x800c0155. 997' appears.

I read in the same forum that starting in the ‘clean boot’-mode might help here. If I follow all instructions, the system configuration gets stuck and does not respond anymore. What can I do? I am using Windows 10.

Hey All!

I haven't found an answer anywhere online which means this is probably a localized issue. For some reason, I am receiving mail fine, and all of my mail is appearing in my inbox. I can see attachments to these emails, but I can't see the content at all. I have it set so that all emails will download immediately as I receive them. It was working perfectly fine until about a month ago, and I've just been using Gmail in a browser, but I appreciate the convenience of the Mail App. I'm a Computer Scientist, so I've already done all of the troubleshooting (i.e. checking the settings, uninstalling manually and then reinstalling using the cmd, etc). I've scoured the internet for an answer, but to no avail and now I'm starting to get frustrated. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Cheers!

Running Windows 7 with WLM 11 which worked OK for 4 years. Suddenly my Contact Groups do not work and the e-mail message only goes to the first named in the designated group. In an attempt to rectify, WLM 12 has been installed but no cure or change. I should add that my groups are small and they should not be attracting the attention of my ISP who may think that large groups count as "spam"

Why is this happening and how can it be fixed?

I was recently updated to Windows 10 and have this message on 3 live.com email accounts but not on my default live.com email account.

Error message is

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (sbosullivan) account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

I have followed all steps mentioned in varies posts except uninstalling Windows Live Mail 2012 and re-installing.

The synchronisation message is on each of the three accounts permanently.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 2011 HP Pavilion laptop running 64-bit Windows 7 Home Edition.

I have a 2014 HP Zbook17 laptop running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

I installed MSE on the first PC without incident and it runs fine there.

Installation of MSE on the 2nd PC bombs out immediately, generating the error message that "Installation Failed".

At the time of each installation (or attempt thereof) I had MalwareBytes Anti-Malware installed and running on the target PC.

So, why was one installation successful and not the other?

Which entity is incompatible with MSE?  HP Zbook or Win7 Professional?

Thank you in advance for attending to this.

Every time I open Outlook it opens in a small window.   I resize the window and adjust my columns etc and have tried to close the app and yet when I reopen it, the wind is small and the column are not where i left them.

How do you fix the size of the window on a MAC with office 2011's outlook?

Unable to update anything or download.  Message says hard disk full.  I only use my PC at home and it's only 3 years old.  Should not be full at all.  I bought program, from Advanced Tech Support in mid August to check my PC as IE 11 wouldn't open a lot of the time.

They would come in remotely just before I'd go to bed to ck it out.  They did not close the connection or leave a note so I could. They deleted most of my downloads, some contained .dll    I am a novice but know enough not to delete these.

I can not update Microsoft Windows, Security Essentials or my Anti-virus program.  I have Kaspersky Pure 3.

Appreciate any help, or Microsoft to remotely look into.
