Whenever I try to install Skype, it says it has problem connecting to download server. In the other hand, in the case of Windows Movie Maker, it said error: 0x80078007b and source: D3DX9, "unknown error occured". Could this be a computer virus? Being a college student, I really need to get thing up and running before the semester begins. I will be glad to receive any advice. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I recently began hooking up my laptop to tv using HDMI cable. All was working fine. I ended up by having to download and install a Microsoft patch that would allow Hotmail to continue to work. Which ultimately led me to needing to uninstall and then reinstall Essentials. But what is now occurring is that I can only get Movie Maker to open when I first have it connected to tv using HDMI. PLUS I must start playing the video and THEN disconnect the cable for Movie Maker to continue to work on my laptop. If I don't use this exact sequence my laptop screen/Movie Maker looks like it's been redacted in black. When I try to open Movie Maker without HDMI connect I get a notification that tells me Movie Maker can't start. And that I need to make sure that my computer meets minimum system requirements. Obviously my system does...because Movie Maker DOES work. And all drivers are updated. I have screen resolution at suggested setting. Any suggestions? Thank you.
I have to say this help forum is really annoying. Most posts don't really answer people's questions.
However, I have nowhere else to go.
I am a poet, and I post my poetry to a blog with Live Writer. The last two poems display double spaced, and thus the stanzas are lost. The poems make less sense now. Nothing I do removes the extra spaces where I don't want them.
Please advise how I can remove double spacing. I used the "Paste Special" tab to post without formatting, but it makes no difference.
The blog is hosted by Wordpress.
Thank you.

Both computers have been updated to Windows 10
I have been working on a memorial video for 3 years using Movie Maker on my laptop and desktop.
All of the files, photos, and mp3's are on a flash drive.
When I try to open the project in Movie Maker I receive an error message:
"Sorry Movie Maker can't open this project file. The file might not be compatible with Movie Maker or be corrupted. Please select a different project file."
can anyone assist with repairing this file?

I can send but not receive e-mails on Live Mail. This problem started at the end of November. About 2 weeks ago I suddenly got back on line and 1050 e-mails were down loaded covering a period of 18 months. The next day I the problem was back again. I get the following message, (Unable to send or receive messages for the #### account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity).
As e-mails are accessable on my I-Pad and on Mail2web it is clearly not a problem with the server. I have Windows 7 installed.
I downloaded Windows 10 but could not even open Live mail and had to re-install Windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Live Mail and tried the repair option but still not working.
Can anybody help?
